Golden Hour Horseplay in Gainesville

I’ve been photographing Ashley and her lovely family for many years now. It’s always a joy to catchup and update their pictures.  It’s a yearly tradition in the spring  to have pictures taken at the wildflower field but  the wildflower field was again mowed early  (due to the pandemic) so no flowers. Where can we go that would be unique, close to home, and comfortable and safe for the girls?  Ashley mentioned the stable that her daughters take horse riding lessons at.  PERFECT!!  What a magical setting.  Thank you to  Ms. Madonna of Madonna’s Equestrian Academy for allowing us to hang out at the stables and take these fun family photographs. If you are curious as to why I like to schedule sessions during the golden hour (30 minutes before sunset) - this session is the perfect example.  The light is simply gorgeous - just glowing!

I usually recommend the Kanapaha Botanical Gardens for first time clients because it offers a variety of beautiful backdrops and its a safe and easy to get around. But if you’ve already had your session there and want something different - then look into locations that are special to your family.  Like your local park, a historic part of town, even an ice cream shop that you always stop off at after swim class! I’m always open to new places - we just need to get permission first if it’s private property.

I’ve received both my COVID vaccinations and I”m ready to start seeing everyone’s smiling faces again!!

Golden Hour is the very best time to schedule pictures!
