Family Fun in Micanopy

So here we are - the summer of 2020 in the height of a pandemic in Florida - what is a photographer to do! Put on a mask, use a 70-200 lens to keep a minimum of 6 ft distance, and photograph friends and family!

So on a very hot late afternoon in July, I headed out to the historic town of Micanopy to photograph a dear friends daughter with her new baby and husband. This lovely family currently live in Oregon - they came home to Micanopy to visit friends and of course the new Grandma!

Three generations!

Micanopy is a lovely place to photograph. It is very quiet in the later afternoon - as all the shops close at 5p.m.. It’s old historic buildings provide a perfect balance of color and charm - and it’s only 20 minutes from Gainesville!
